The Child Development Research Unit is located in the Mackinnon Building on the University of Guelph campus.
Once you have scheduled a lab visit with one of our research assistants, detailed directions to the CDRU will be sent to your email. If you do not use email, a research assistant will be sure to provide you with specific directions on how to reach the CDRU over the phone. The directions will specify which parking lot to use depending on the time and day that you visit us, as well as the specific entrance to the Mackinnon building where a research assistant will meet you and your family. If you have any questions regarding the directions, please feel free to contact the lab for further clarification.
Parking for the CDRU is located in either P5 off of Trent Lane or in P44 (Johnston Green lot) off Winegard walk. If you will be visiting on a weekday after 3:30pm or on a weekend, you will be directed to the Trent Lane parking lot (P5). A research assistant with a clip board will meet your family outside of the Mackinnon building under the red awning. If you arrive after 5pm or on a weekend, you can park at any spot except for Emergency Vehicle Parking or Handicapped Parking in P5 (Trent Lane parking lot). If you arrive on a weekday before 5pm, please park at a metered parking spot. All parking is paid for by the CDRU. Please double check with the research assistant on the project you are participating in to confirm where to park and where to meet before arriving.
